National power grid connection ceremony at Son Tra 1C hydroelectric plant

On October 30, 2021, in Quang Ngai, 30-4 Quang Ngai Joint Stock Company solemnly held the national power grid connection ceremony for the Son Tra 1C hydroelectric plant. 

The project is located in the cascade hydropower system on the Dak Se Lo River, downstream of the Son Tra 1A and Son Tra 1B hydroelectric plants, which are managed and operated by the Company. The Son Tra 1C hydroelectric plant is located in the districts of Son Ha and Son Tay, Quang Ngai province, with a scale of 9MW and an average annual electricity output of about 32.46 million kWh. The project was started in July 2019 with a total investment of VND 349 billion. When put into operation, the plant will contribute to ensuring national energy security and contributing to the economic and social development of the locality. 

Mr. Dinh Gia Noi, General Director of 30/4 Quang Ngai Joint Stock Company, spoke at the ceremony. To ensure the construction progress of the plant, during the peak phase, many machines and equipment were mobilized, along with the participation of more than 200 employees, engineers working in three shifts, regardless of holidays and weekends, overcoming many difficulties caused by the Covid -19 pandemic, and completing the project according to the set goals. 

The national power grid connection ceremony for the Son Tra 1C hydroelectric plant is a continuation of the success of the Son Tra 1A and Son Tra 1B projects. When the three plants operate, the investor's complex will contribute to ensuring national energy security, contributing to the development of Quang Ngai province with a budget of approximately VND 85 billion/year and creating stable jobs for nearly 70 local workers.
