Closure ceremony of Cua Lap 2 Bridge – a new milestone in coastal infrastructure development

11/12/2024Construction
On December 11, 2024, Package No. 21 of the Cua Lap 2 Bridge project, which includes the upgrade and expansion of the road section from Lo Voi Junction to the entrance of the Thuy Duong Tourist Area, was officially connected. This marks a significant milestone in the completion of a key transportation project on the DT994 route.

After 15 months of construction, which began in August 2023, the project has reached approximately 90% completion. The final tasks, including the installation of railings, paving of the bridge surface, and setting up the lighting system, are being expedited to ensure handover before April 30, 2025.

The Cua Lap 2 Bridge spans 721,2 meters in length and features a roadway width of 12.5 meters, consisting of 20 balanced cantilever spans. Designed to accommodate three lanes and a maximum speed limit of 50 km/h, this bridge plays a crucial role in alleviating traffic pressure on the existing bridge. Additionally, it serves as an important connection between key economic and social hubs, including Long Dien, Dat Do, Long Hai, and Thuy Duong.

A project management team of approximately 120 personnel has been divided into three construction units, working around the clock, even during the rainy season, to complete the project on schedule.

In addition to improving traffic flow, the project is expected to stimulate local economic growth and boost tourism. The Cua Lap 2 Bridge, in conjunction with the DT994 route, is anticipated to attract investment in industrial zones, coastal residential areas, and, significantly, the tourism sector in Ba Ria – Vung Tau.

The successful completion of the Cua Lap 2 Bridge not only highlights the capabilities and reputation of Dat Phuong but also serves as a testament to the company’s commitment to sustainable development and the modernization of transportation infrastructure in the southern coastal region.
