The project spans 16.39 km in length, passing through Ba Ria City, Long Dien District, and Vung Tau City. The route starts at the National Highway 56 junction, directly linking to Phase 1 of the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway, and ends at the roundabout between roads 51B and 51C—an important strategic gateway into Vung Tau City.
Designed to meet modern urban expressway standards, the project consists of three main sections, with a cross-section width of up to 67 meters and a design speed of 80–100 km/h. This is a key infrastructure project that plays a vital role in regional connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. It is also expected to provide strong momentum for the development of logistics, seaport systems, and coastal tourism in the southern region.
Dat Phuong Group is the main contractor for two major packages of the project: Package No. 31 – roadwork and overpass construction at the DT.994 intersection, and Package No. 34 – the section from the start of the route to Km3+498, including pier T74 of the elevated bridge. Each package is scheduled to be completed within 600 days.
