Thuận An Bridge has a total length of nearly 2.4 km, with over 1.3 km stretching across the sea. The main span of the bridge employs an Extradose girder structure—one of today's most advanced technologies—with a navigational clearance of 218 meters wide and 40 meters high, allowing vessels of over 5,000 tons to conveniently access Thuận An Port. This is the highest and longest Extradose span in Vietnam, constructed on a foundation of 34 bored piles with a diameter of 2 meters and a depth of over 83 meters, ensuring superior stability in complex geological conditions. The A-shaped tower stands 32 meters tall, with the total height from water level to the top of the tower reaching 72 meters, creating a striking modern architectural feature for the project.
Thuận An Bridge is a key component of the coastal road project passing through Hue City. It plays a vital role in connecting the suburban communes of Phu Vang District to the urban center and establishing a regional linkage corridor among the coastal economic zones of Central Vietnam. Upon completion, the project will contribute to promoting economic, social, and tourism development in the Central region and enhance the national transportation network.
Successfully joining the main span on the symbolic occasion of April 30 carries a powerful message, clearly demonstrating determination and unity in maintaining progress, ensuring quality, and upholding construction safety.
As the main contractor, Đạt Phương Group maximized its resources, organizing round-the-clock three-shift construction schedules, and applying technically optimized construction solutions suitable for the area’s unique geological, hydrological, and climatic conditions. The close and effective coordination between the contractor, consultants, investor, local authorities, and relevant parties was a key factor in the project's success.
