In response to a 15-day peak competition campaign launched by the People's Committee of Soc Trang Province to expedite construction progress, Package No. 10 of Component Project 4 (DATP4) under the Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang Expressway (Phase 1) has reached significant milestones. On October 18 2024, the project was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the People's Committee of Soc Trang Province
The Project Management Board of Package No. 10 set a target to achieve a production volume of VND 5.57 billion. With the motto of “only progress, no setbacks” the team excelled, achieving VND 7.41 billion, which is 133.03% of the planned target. Project Leader Hoang Ngoc Cuong received an individual Certificate of Merit for his exceptional leadership. He successfully guided the team through numerous challenges, helping them meet their objectives. This recognition not only boosts team morale but also serves as a significant motivation to continue working towards the completion of the remaining project components.
Package No. 10, located in Soc Trang Province, covers a total length of 15 kilometers with a planned construction period of 1.260 days. The total investment for the project amounts to VND 11.961 billion. The expressway is designed with four lanes, a road width of 17 meters, and a maximum operational speed of 100 km/h.
This project is strategically significant for the Mekong Delta region, serving as a crucial horizontal axis that connects the regional center and optimizes the efficiency of existing vertical routes. It is aimed at modernizing and synchronizing transportation infrastructure, while also opening new opportunities for economic development and trade connections among the provinces of An Giang, Can Tho, Hau Giang, and Soc Trang.
