The event was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, representatives from the Ministry of Transport, leaders from Tra Vinh and Soc Trang provinces, as well as investors, design consultants, supervision consultants, and contractors involved in the project.
Dai Ngai Bridge is located on National Highway 60, linking Tra Vinh and Soc Trang provinces. The bridge begins at the intersection with National Highway 54 in Hung Hoa Commune, Tieu Can District, Tra Vinh Province, and ends at the intersection with the Nam Song Hau National Highway in Long Duc Commune, Long Phu District, Soc Trang Province. The entire project has a total length of 15 kilometers and includes 5 intersections and 7 bridges, with the two main bridges Dai Ngai 1 and Dai Ngai 2. The project has a total investment of over VND 8.000 billion.
This strategic infrastructure project is a vital coastal traffic route that connects the provinces of the Mekong Delta. Once completed, it will shorten the distance from Ca Mau, Soc Trang, and Bac Lieu provinces to Ho Chi Minh City by approximately 80 kilometers, compared to the current path via National Highway 1.
The project will complete the entire route of National Highway 60, improve transportation capacity in the Mekong Delta region, and create convenient transportation links between the southern coastal provinces and Ho Chi Minh City. It will also enhance national defense and security capabilities for the southern coastal area.
The joint venture comprising Dat Phuong JSC, Construction Corporation No. 1 JSC, Truong Son Investment and Construction JSC, and Thuan An Group JSC will undertake the construction of the Dai Ngai 2 Bridge. The project has a completion timeframe of 780 days.
The contractors involved are reputable firms in the construction industry and have made a strong commitment to this significant project.
