The event not only marks a significant milestone in transport infrastructure development in the Mekong Delta but also stands as a clear testament to Dat Phuong Group’s determination and project execution capabilities in its journey of creating lasting value.

Previously, the old bridge, with its low clearance, had become a bottleneck for inland waterway transport, restricting the passage of large vessels. The newly completed Mo Cay Bridge not only resolves this clearance constraint but also opens up new opportunities for local socio-economic development. The bridge serves as a vital link within the broader infrastructure network—where inland waterway and road logistics converge with trade and tourism. As a result, the project’s value extends beyond the local scale, contributing to the entire Mekong Delta and the broader Southwestern region.
Mo Cay Bridge is one of nine newly constructed bridges under the project, implemented across several southern provinces and cities. With a total investment of over VND 209 billion, construction began in March 2024 on National Highway 60, approximately 450 meters upstream from the existing bridge.

During construction, the project faced a number of challenges. Like many clearance-upgrade projects, Mo Cay Bridge experienced temporary delays due to difficulties in site clearance, directly impacting the schedule. In the face of these obstacles, the commitment to remain on-site and the close coordination between the investor, local authorities, and Dat Phuong became key factors in gradually resolving issues. Thanks to this determination and collaboration, the project has achieved over 95% completion, with the main bridge and approach roads finalized, paving the way for technical opening as planned.
The technical opening of Mo Cay Bridge, held on the anniversary of the Dong Khoi Movement, further enhances the project’s significance. The bridge contributes to improving inland waterway transport capacity, meeting Class III navigation clearance standards and enabling the smooth passage of larger vessels. This helps shorten transportation time, reduce logistics costs, ease pressure on road traffic, and enhance both safety and the efficiency of existing infrastructure.
Today, Mo Cay Bridge stands as a vivid affirmation of the belief that: “Quality infrastructure is not just about roads and bridges—it is the foundation for the future.” For Dat Phuong Group, each completed project represents a continued commitment to sustainable development, contributing to the shared growth of communities, localities, and the regions the company serves.
