On April 26, 2024, the Thon 3 Bridge was officially opened to traffic in Dien Ngoc Ward, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province. This marks a significant advancement in the Urban Infrastructure and Environmental Development Project aimed at addressing climate change in Hoi An City and Quang Nam Province. The total construction cost of the bridge exceeds VND 274 billion.

Thon 3 Bridge is Vietnam’s first steel arch bridge featuring inclined arches in a distinctive “V” shape with a 10°52’ angle, designed without transverse connections. The two outward-leaning arches resemble a crane in flight, creating a unique architectural landmark. Its design was recognized at the architectural design competition for bridges spanning the Co Co River in Dien Ban Town, organized by the Dien Ban Town People's Committee.

The installation of the bridge's arches was a critical and challenging phase of construction. Successfully assembling the steel arch structure, which consists of 26 arch segments, required extreme precision and posed a major challenge for the construction teams. The on-site assembly of these segments was even more demanding, with an allowable precision tolerance of just 2 mm. However, by thorough preparation and close coordination among all stakeholders, Dat Phuong successfully managed this process.

The project's success is a testament to the unity, focus, and relentless effort of the entire Dat Phuong team. It not only highlights their extensive experience and expertise in complex construction techniques but also marks a significant advancement in mastering sophisticated bridge-building technologies.

The urban landscape along the Co Co River has been identified by the Dien Ban Town and Quang Nam Provincial People's Committees as a key focal point for the northern urban region. This area serves as a satellite city connected to Da Nang, providing momentum for economic and social development towards a high-quality urban model that integrates premium tourism and hospitality services.

The opening of the Thon 3 bridge represents a crucial step in completing Quang Nam’s urban transportation infrastructure network, contributing to the region’s economic, tourism, and social growth.
