The ceremony was attended by representatives from the provincial leadership, project investors, consulting firms, and construction contractors.
With a total investment of VND 1.450 billion, the bridge spans 2 km, passing through two communes Khanh Cuong and Khanh Trung in Yen Khanh District, Ninh Binh Province, and three communes Nghia Chau, Nghia Trung, and Nghia Thai in Nghia Hung District, Nam Dinh Province.
The project starts at Km 17+300 of the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong Expressway in Khanh Cuong Commune, Yen Khanh District, Ninh Binh Province, and ends at Km 19+300 in Nghia Thai Commune, Nghia Hung District, Nam Dinh Province.
The Day River overpass features a main bridge that is 1.36 kilometers long, spanning the river and measuring 19,5 meters in width. The approach roads extend approximately 0,64 kilometers and have a roadbed width of 19 meters. It is designed to accommodate four lanes, with a speed limit of 100 km/h.
The project, which began in September 2023, reached a significant milestone with the timely completion of the bridge's closure joint after just 15 months of construction. This achievement highlights the tireless efforts of 130 personnel from the Project Management Board. The team was divided into two parallel construction fronts working around the clock. In the next phase, the team will focus on completing components such as guardrails and the bridge deck surfacing to ensure readiness for handover in the first quarter of 2025. The closure ceremony not only marks a technical success but also enhances Dat Phuong’s reputation in the construction sector.
The project will assist in completing the expressway from Ninh Binh to Hai Phong, improving regional connectivity in the Red River Delta, alleviating traffic congestion, shortening travel time, and promoting socio-economic development.
