DAT PHUONG GROUP LAUNCHES THE FIRST PROJECT OF 2024

On January 6, 2024, in Ben Tre Province, the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the project to elevate the vertical clearance of bridges intersecting the national inland waterway route – Phase 1 (Southern area) was successfully held. The ceremony was attended by central government leaders, provincial leaders, investors, design consulting firms, supervision consulting firms, construction contractors, and a large number of local residents from the project area.

The project involves the construction of 9 new bridges, the upgrade and renovation of 1 bridge, and the dismantling of 1 bridge intersecting the national inland waterway route to improve the transportation infrastructure system in the Mekong Delta region, ensuring synchronized waterway transportation along the entire route, enhancing cargo transportation capacity via inland waterways between the Mekong Delta region and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as seaports in the Southeast region and vice versa.

The implementation and completion of Phase 1 of the project will be a significant impetus to contribute to improving the transportation infrastructure system in the Mekong Delta region, enhancing waterway transportation capacity, reducing congestion and pressure on cargo transportation on roads, reducing transportation costs from production to consumption markets, and positively contributing to the goal of poverty reduction, socio-economic development, reducing accident rates on roads and waterways, and synchronizing the transportation network.

The consortium consisting of Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company – Bien Dong Consulting and Construction Joint Stock Company – Truong Thanh Commercial Construction Investment Joint Stock Company is the contractor for Package CDT-XL01 under the project. With extensive experience in constructing numerous large bridge projects, Dat Phuong Group will collaborate with other consortium members to complete the project within the set timeline of 540 days, while ensuring quality and safety, as well as environmental hygiene and labor protection commitments to the provincial leaders and investors.
